A tea party for seniors can be fun, fancy, and elegant as an indoor party or an outdoor garden party. Many seniors may love to share such a party with their family and friends that are not local residents.

A tea party is an old English tradition where etiquette was considered very important. It may be fun to share many etiquette tips with your party goers that may, or may not, know proper tea party etiquette.
For fun the seniors could make special invitations to the tea party several weeks before and mail them out. You could also decide to have the party based on period clothing, or just fancy hats or dressing up in current, but dressy attire.

- cream, milk, sugar, lemon, honey
- scones, muffins, biscuits, crumpets
- tea sandwiches (small and dainty like egg or cucumber)
- marmalade, jam, special butters, cream cheese
- shortbread, cakes, tarts, pastries, chocolates and candies

Have several different types of tea and have a tea tasting where everyone can taste different types of tea and try to guess what the flavors are. The one who guesses the most correctly wins.
